Udaari Crafts | A Kashf Foundation Project

Empowering Women. Preserving Heritage.

Udaari Crafts is more than just a marketplace for handmade goods. It is a Kashf Foundation initiative that creates sustainable livelihoods for women artisans across Pakistan. Every handcrafted piece carries a story of empowerment, resilience, and cultural heritage.

Our Mission

For decades, Kashf Foundation has championed the cause of women’s empowerment through microfinance, skill development, and social support. Udaari Crafts takes this mission further by giving artisans a platform where their traditional skills connect with global markets. Here, centuries-old crafts are transformed into opportunities for women who once had limited access to income.

From Training to Entrepreneurship

Udaari does more than training. Women artisans are guided to refine their craftsmanship, develop quality-driven products, and grow as entrepreneurs. From lacquered woodwork in Sillanwali to embroidery and basketry in Kasur and Bahawalpur, every product reflects the artisan’s journey of progress. These crafts, once limited to local bazaars, now reach homes across Pakistan and abroad.

Impact Beyond Sales

Every purchase from Udaari Crafts creates real impact:

  1. Supporting children’s education through mothers’ earnings
  2. Building financial stability in artisan households
  3. Preserving Pakistan’s cultural heritage
  4. Giving women dignity, respect, and independence

Each handcrafted product is more than décor or utility — it is part of a movement that uplifts women and sustains heritage.
